Code of Conduct

  • Show respect to all fellow golfers and staff
  • Show respect to equipment and facilities
  • Refrain from using abusive or foul language
  • Guests who do not conform to these rules may be asked to leave

On Course Rules

  • Out of bounds is indicated by white stakes and fence on Blue Course holes 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and driving range
  • Any ball striking the tower or power lines may be replayed without penalty
  • Please repair all ball marks, replace divots, and rake bunkers
  • Do not enter areas that are marked Ground Under Repair
  • Rangers are available to advise and assist you, they also have full authority to enforce rules

Pace of Play

  • Please keep pace with the group in front of you
  • Allow faster groups to play through
  • Play “Ready Golf”, whoever is ready plays when safe to do so, there are no honors
  • Only one ball in play at a time. No practicing on the course
  • When making the turn, you must wait for your turn tee time which is considered 2 hours after your tee time. If you play under 2 hours you must wait your turn, tee times have priority over groups making the turn

Playing Requirements

  • Motor Cart Requirements: All renters and drivers of the cart must be 16 years or older and provide proof of a valid Driver’s License
  • The driver of the motor cart is responsible for all and any damage to motor carts
  • Motor Carts must be kept at least 15 feet away from putting greens
  • Please keep carts away from tee boxes, traps, and water hazards
  • Proper dress code required – shirts must be of full length to belt line. Shirt for men must have sleeves
  • Each player must have own clubs and a golf bag. Golf clubs are available to rent
  • Every person entering the golf course must pay a greens fee or spectator fee for 9 or 18 holes
  • Staff will regulate all pairings, and reserve the right to group players together
  • No fivesomes are allowed

Age Restrictions

  • Golfers under the age of 5 years of age are prohibited from entering the playing area of the golf course as a player or a spectator
  • Golfers between the ages of 5 and 11 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18 yrs. or older) who is responsible for the child’s action

Alcohol & Beverage Policy

  • In accordance with state codes, all alcoholic beverages must be purchased from these premises
  • No alcoholic, sports drinks, or sodas may be brought to the golf course or clubhouse
  • Staff has the absolute right to refuse service to any guest based on individuals’ apparent state of intoxication                                       


  • Storm warning – once you hear 1 long blast, it is important that you seek shelter at the Clubhouse only – shelters or trees are dangerous areas during a storm. Once you hear 3 short blasts, that is an all clear to continue play where play was suspended
  • All customers are responsible private property damage, bodily damage, golf carts and/or any damages to equipment or property owned or leased by the Wood Dale Park District
  • Plant fertilizers, pesticides and plant protectives are periodically applied to the course. Contact the Superintendent for further information

Lost and Found

  • Salt Creek Golf Club is not responsible for item’s left in carts or on the course. Any item’s found in carts or on the course will be placed in the Pro Shop lost and found bin
